About GainStreet

What this is

GainStreet is a stock research desk that shows its work. Each evening it publishes a market brief, maintains a 20-name conviction slate (the GainStreet Boyz), and records every stage change, entry, and exit on a public ledger with the price at the time and the reason in plain English. The Track Record page scores every booked pick — wins and losses — and nothing is ever quietly edited after the fact.

The Gainz Lab is the research half: interactive maps of the sectors we cover, showing who supplies whom, who competes with whom, and live fundamentals for every company on them.

Who runs it

GainStreet is built and operated by Today is Tomorrow LLC, a New York studio that builds considerate software — including The Farm, a privacy-first habit tracker. GainStreet started as a personal tool for keeping an honest record of investment ideas, and became a public site on the theory that research is only worth reading if the author is willing to be scored on it.

How the picks get made: the robot and the human

Two layers produce what you see, and the ledger always says which one decided.

• The robot. A nightly pipeline refreshes fundamentals for every company in our universe, computes the G-Street Value and G-Street Score — both deterministic formulas in code, never an AI opinion — and drafts theses, the daily brief, and proposed lifecycle stages (Watch → Buy Zone → Hold → Take Profit). Entries on the ledger made this way are marked as robot decisions.
• The human. The desk reviews the slate against what actually happened — earnings, guidance, structural news — and overrides the robot where judgment beats mechanics: booking a winner near value, buying a dip the robot flinched at, or cutting a thesis that broke. Those entries are marked as human decisions, with the reasoning published.

How we use AI — our editorial policy

• AI writes first drafts; it does not hold the pen on judgment. The daily brief and company theses are generated by AI models from market data and filings, then published under human editorial oversight. Stage changes that matter — entries, exits, overrides — are human decisions or clearly labeled robot decisions.
• Valuations are math, not vibes. The G-Street Value and Score are computed by code from disclosed fundamentals and analyst data. No model is asked to guess a fair value.
• Losses stay on the record. A wrong pick is logged with its loss and its reason. We do not delete, backdate, or rewrite entries. If we were wrong, the ledger says so.
• Nothing here is a recommendation. GainStreet is research and commentary for educational purposes. It is not financial advice and is not tailored to anyone's situation.
